We Started PawPack Because Our Dog Sat Down on the Trail and Refused to Move

Two miles into a hike, our dog was done. Tiny legs, big attitude, zero interest in walking another step. So we picked him up — and spent the next hour hiking one-handed with a squirming pup, a sore shoulder, and a leash wrapped around our wrist.

We tried every carrier we could find. Plastic bubble backpacks that turned into ovens in the sun. Flimsy sling carriers that slid off one shoulder. “Universal” backpacks that were either too small or fell apart after three uses.

None of them were built for people who actually take their dogs outside.

So we built PawPack.

What PawPack Is

PawPack is a small brand that does one thing: dog backpack carriers. That’s it. We don’t sell beds, bowls, toys, or treats. We obsess over one product category so we can get it right.

Every carrier we offer is selected and tested for three things:

• Does the dog actually stay comfortable? — Breathable mesh, padded support, enough room to sit and look around. If a dog hates being in it, the carrier failed.
• Does the owner’s back survive? — Padded shoulder straps, chest buckles, waist straps. Weight distribution matters when you’re carrying 10+ lbs for an hour.
• Does it hold up outside? — Reinforced stitching, durable materials, closures that don’t jam with dirt. A carrier that falls apart after one hike is not a carrier.

Who We’re For

PawPack is for dog owners who don’t leave their pup behind. You take your dog hiking, traveling, biking, camping, and to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning. Your dog wants to come everywhere — but sometimes those little legs need a break.

We’re not for everyone. If you need a carrier for a 60-lb Lab, we can’t help you. But if you have a Yorkie, French Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Corgi, or any small-to-medium dog that runs out of steam before you do — we built PawPack for exactly that.
